about

There is no rest for the wicked, and so it is that !Organism push on with their 102nd EP, this time from Turkish talent Ugur Project with a great remix from Radial bolstering the package.

A prolific producer with a vast and vital discography to his name, this Istanbul artist cooks up searing techno on labels like Ostend, Arteform, Nite Grooves and Robot Ranch. He is a regular on radio back home and has played in clued up clubs all round Europe. He has also put his name to many key compilations and has played on stage with two other DJs, nine decks and three mixers as part of one of his own series of cult nights back in the early 2010s.

He impresses from the off here with title track "Apocalypse," an atmospheric cut with bobbling rubber kicks and industrial percussive sounds. It is involving and urgent, multi dimensional and full of main room menace. The remix from Dutch producer Radialwho runs his own self titled labelis built on a scurrying and scrambled beat that is physical and dynamic and demands you dance. Weird synths and icy hi hats add texture and turbulence and ensure this is another standout track.

On the flip, "To The Beat" is a creepy and spaced out track with eerie synth hooks, paranoid vocals and barreling drums all making for a maximal techno stomper. It is freaky night music to make floors sweat. Last but not least is the brilliant "Circular Forms", a spangled and intense brew of stamping drums and coarse claps that is run through with Millsian melody and a real sense of intergalactic unease.

All four cuts here are designed for maximum impact once again.
