!Organism - ORGA40: Dangeli - Break Down (+ The Welderz Remix) [4250644866296] Download
!Organism’s techno assault continues with the label’s 40st EP, this time coming from Dangeli complete with a remix from The Welderz, a French techno project from Jérémy Delzors & Cyril Raoul. The tracks all focus on supple and hypnotic techno that works on unifying dancefloors in darkened warehouses.

Italian born producer Dangeli grew up in the picturesque city of Gela in Sicily and since 2005 has been a regular in the local clubs. Now releasing on labels like Progrezo Records, he has proven himself adept at producing strong basslines, weird melodies and driving rhythms that strike right at the heart of the dancefloor.

Opener ‘Break Down’ is a nicely hiccupping techno groove. Claps are sharp and rusty sounding with howls of bass driving along the staccato drums. Warm blasts of sub underpin the whole thing and there is a real sense of marching to the driving rhythm. A dark ghoulish vocal brings unsettled atmospherics to the proceedings and in the right big space you can imagine this doing serious damage.

Next up, ‘Another Side’ is a pacier affair, it scurries along almost falling over itself as bulky, loopy drums rotate beneath crisp metallic percussion. Water sound effects fade in and out in the distance and the whole thing builds towards a frenetic point of tension at which it explodes to the sound of a horn. Bubbly main room and monstrous, this is attention grabbing techno.

The Welderz have released on some top labels in the last year, including FLASH Recordings, Analytic Trail and Sleaze, and are an energetic live act that takes cues from classic hotbeds like Chicago and Detroit. Their remix is a big and bulky thing with coarse claps that sounds like the sort of thing Skudge are best known for. It’s quick and cantering with sleek hooks peeling off the long grooves.

Once again !Organism have pulled together the best in main room techno talent for another fierce and compelling EP.
