about

There is a taste of acid in the air on the 75th release from peerless techno label !Organism. Produced by Sin Sin and with a standout remix from the masterful Joachim Spieth, this is yet another essential EP for fans of proper techno.

Germany’s Sin Sin has been crafting his blistering sounds since the late 90s. He has been resident at club slick Fusion, has founded various labels and always manages to imbue his tracks with plenty of atmosphere. Sin Sin’s own label Sin Sin Records publishes carefully selected, straight-forward techno music and his own productions are much the same.
Notable opener ‘Acid Flash’is a heady, hypnotic affair that’s expertly reduced to the core components: a hulking kick drum, a nervy lead synth line and plenty of slick percussive lines that all work to trap you in a trance.

Remixing this one is the one and only Joachim Spieth, a fellow German, veteran of Kompakt, Traum Schallplatten and Paso Music and boss of his own great label Affin, which has released more than 150 EPs. His remix is a deep and subtle rework that burns slowly, creeping up in intensity as it goes. It’s a really slick roller that will have floors marching as one late into the night.

The other fine original is ‘Circled,’which is darker and deeper than the other cut but is just as focussed on streamlined, tunnelling techno grooves. Full of shadowy spaces, there is a rising sense of tension and late night naughtiness to this one that will really have dance floors locked.

Once again here !Organism have knocked it out of the techno park.
