about

Uncompromising techno label !Organism turn to Italian talent Peja for their next EP, which takes a turn into some serious acid, and comes with a remix from Kalden Bess.

Peja is Italian producer Amedeo Mazzotti, someone who has released on labels like Hidden Blindspot and Jeton and who has received support and plays from the likes of techno tastemakers Richie Hawtin and Carl Cox, so his credentials are assured.

The first track he turns in is ‘Acid Planet’, a track propelled by kicks drums in over drive, a vast and all consuming bassline and plenty of subtle whistles, sheet metal sounds and, eventually, just when you think you cant go any higher – some well worked acid lines.

The remixes comes from fast rising Montreal producer Kalden Bess. His sound is dark and CLR indebted and he also runs his own Ground factory label much to the delight of techno fans everywhere. His remix is less streamlined and rawer in texture than the original. The drums slap and sand paper hi hats ride along side as all acid is stripped from the track. It’s a dark and involving record that will help you lose your mind on the dancefloor in the late night hours.

Peja’s other original is ‘Cosmic Geometry’, with kicks buried so deep they make the earth rumble. Warm streams of air seem to percolate within the mix and sparks of electricity peel off in various directions. It’s heads down stuff designed more maximum destruction.

!Organism never fail to come up with their own unique take on techno and this new EP from Peja is yet another feather in their bow.
